Special Needs Team Leader - Auckland


Purpose:
To meet the basic needs of delegates seated in the special needs section.

Commitment Level:
Pre-Event:
Event: 1-2 Days
         
Friday 5.00 – 9.45pm
          Saturday 8.15am – 9.30pm

Responsibilities:
Pre-Event: Liaise with PK Auckland Special Needs Co-ordinator for names/needs of known special needs attendees.
During Event: Co-ordination of special needs parking, assistance with parking, registration and seating, etc for special needs attendees.
Reports to:
Security Team Leader
Works closely with:
Security Team

Responsibilities pre-Event:


1. Pray for the Event.
2. Attend a briefing session with PK Auckland Special Needs Co-ordinator.
3. Help prepare directions and on-site signage.
4. Familiarise yourself with the special needs plan and venue layout specifically regarding disabled parking, entrances, seating, restrooms, elevators, and first aid.
 
Responsibilities during Event:

1. Assist with basic needs of attendees parking, registration and seating.
2. Help set up directions and on-site signage.
3. Distribute water and meals as necessary.
4. Provide mobility and restroom assistance as needed.
5. May be required to do heavy lifting.
6. Help take down any signs or ropes in the special needs section.
7. Debrief with Special Needs Co-ordinator.

Additional Information:
Cost: $8.00 for Volunteers T-shirt. Lunch and Dinner provided on Saturday.
Uniform:

Black trousers and comfortable shoes to be provided by attendee. Please note you may need a long sleeved top for warmth at times. PK Volunteers cap and name swinger will be provided by PK, which you will pick up on arrival at the Event.

Note:
PK Volunteers cap to be returned to PK on Saturday at conclusion of Event.
