Meet the Coaches - Mark Beale

Mark is Minister of St Elizabeth's Anglican Church, which he planted in Manurewa, South Auckland. He realised that if he made men his top priority then everything else would fall into place. Mark is an advisor for Alpha, runs workshops on fatherhood, is on the Diocesan Council, and is also involved with Marriage Encounter.

Mark has been married for 34 years and has four children. Three are heavily involved in church life. His son Tim is drummer for the band “Mumsdollar”, Catherine is a church leader and Lizzie is at the performing arts school “Excel”.

In the community, he is Chairman of the Manukau Beautification Trust, which mainly deals with graffiti, employing many staff and having a million dollar annual turnover. Mark has also organised “Christmas in the Park” events on behalf of the Council. These events have been actively supported by local churches working together.

In Men’s Ministry, Mark initiated the “Manukau Men United” cluster of churches working together. He has championed Ministry with Men in his own church, which has led to it exceeding growth targets.

For Promise Keepers, Mark is currently Chairman of the Board, is involved in Event planning, is a speaker and has edited several PK Study Guides for Men’s Small Groups. He has also travelled extensively nationwide taking Coaching seminars. Mark knows the results that can be achieved when Ministry with Men is done well. How could your church benefit from his experience?
