Fundraising

It costs a lot of money to put on large Events that meet today’s expectations. Registration fees are set to cover the expense of running New Zealand’s largest Christian Events for men. For men who live outside the cities where Events are held, there is the added cost of travel and accommodation.

Many groups plan early to help their guys save the funds they need. These are some of the ways they do it:

Collect a small sum at regular meetings. For example, $10 per month in a savings scheme over 7 months.
Set up a "fighting fund" - men who can afford it can assist those who are struggling.
Use church missions money to invite “not yet Christian” men to come with the group.
Plan a local fundraising event – e.g. selling firewood

Other ideas are:
Woodcutting, sausage sizzle, clean up projects, garage sale, car wash, (get the youth involved).

Brainstorm for other fundraising ideas.  If you come up with any winning ideas, please let us know so we can share them.  Click here>>

Men also donate money to Promise Keepers specifically to assist others. Promise Keepers’ policy is to top up the gap between what a man experiencing financial difficulties can afford and the registration cost. Some personal cost by the man receiving financial help is important for commitment and ownership of the Event.
