Meet the Coaches - Dean Comerford

After 14 years in voluntary youth leadership roles, Dean Comerford began his vocational ministry as Director of Youth for Christ in Southland, New Zealand – a position he held for five years. After this, Dean was privileged to co-ordinate the work of the Invercargill Combined Churches for several years, before becoming the Senior Leader of the thriving Otatara Community Church in Invercargill, New Zealand’s southernmost city.

In 2005, Dean and his family moved to Cromwell, in the Central Otago region of New Zealand. Dean has been married to Tania for 18 years, and has two children, Amelia (11) and Sam (9).
In Otago he pursued business interests involving Kiwihost hospitality training and contracting for two years, before returning to ministry in February of 2006 in a new role of Coaching with Promise Keepers New Zealand.

Dean has been involved with PK since the first South Island conference in 1996, initially bringing large groups of men all the way to the Events in Christchurch. Recently his role has evolved into a leadership one. With significant experience in reaching and growing men, Dean is eager to see an increased impact with men in local congregations through his Coaching role.
